Our Company is led by our Captain, Graeme Ferguson, supported by a small team of loyal and dedicated volunteers with a wide range of life skills and experience. We love what we do, and we do it with passion. We look forward to working with you.

Anchor Section
For ages 5-8
The core age range for Anchors is from 5 to 8 years, although we welcome boys as young as 4 years old to start with us. This age group has its own programme based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved. The emphasis is on fun and programme activities include games, crafts, stories and opportunities to learn and share in new experiences. Throughout their time in the Anchor Section, children can gain badges and recognition for their participation in the programme. Our Officer in Charge of this section is Stuart Allan with principal helpers Lorna Coulby and Graeme Ferguson. This section runs from 6.00pm until 6.45pm.

Junior Section
For ages 8-11.
The core age range for Juniors is from 8 to 11 years, usually starting in the school year following their 8th birthday.
The Programme
This age group has its own programme based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved. The programme provides challenges, adventure and opportunities to learn and grow. The fun and engaging programme enables the children to work in a team and take more responsibility. Juniors also get the opportunity to go on camps and residential trips, and for some this will be their first night away from home. Throughout their time in the Juniors Section, children can gain badges and recognition for their participation in the programme.
Our Officer in Charge of this section is Lorna Coulby with principal helpers Stuart Allan and Graeme Ferguson. This section runs from 6.45pm until 7.30pm.


Company Section
For ages 11-14.
The core age range for Company is from 11 to 14 years (from 10½ years in Scotland).
The Programme
This age group has its own programme based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved. Young people get the chance to develop existing skills and learn new ones, through a fun, balanced and challenging programme of activities. Young people are encouraged to have a say and help shape their own programme. They can get involved in anything from helping others in their local community to playing sports, trying out adventure activities or being creative through dance or art – there’s something for everyone! There are also opportunities to go away on camps and residentials, which are often the highlights in the annual programme.
Our Officer in Charge of the Company Section is Graeme Ferguson. Our principal helpers are Stuart Allan and Lorna Coulby. This section runs from 6.45pm until 7.30pm.
Senior Section
The core age range of Seniors is from 14 to 18 years.
We currently have no boys in the Senior Section.
The Programme
Young people in this age group are encouraged to lead their own programme, supported by volunteer leaders. It’s all about the young people deciding what they would like to do and organising it for themselves. This age group has its own programme based on six areas: Get Active, Get Into the Bible, Get Creative, Get Learning, Get Adventurous and Get Involved.
There are opportunities to go away on camps and residentials, which are often the highlights in the annual programme. In addition there may be international opportunities open to the Seniors Section, ranging from attending BB events abroad to volunteering on community projects in developing countries.
